board & batten
One of the things I love about being an interior designer is getting to pick out the exterior colors….. (hee hee)…..
And I am swooning about that color palette above, for a couple of new board and batten houses I am working on with the Woodland Street Partners in East Nashville…..
Love the simplicity of an all-creamy-white house, with dark grey-brown trim…..and door – with a silvery entry light (yes, I get to pick out the lights too…..)
But I also love the subtlety of this play of creams and grey-taupes…..
And this indigo blue door set in an all white house – stunning…..
But then, this grey board-&-batten with white trim is so classic…..
Maybe I have to do them both…..

Enjoyed the different varieties; especially since the house we will be building will also be a board & batten style house/barn. Like the various colors and accents.

The grey looks good with the pink flowers. Funny! I just bought a home which is gorgeous on the inside and DOG UGLY on the outside. been wondering what to paint it. It’s now poweder blue from the 70′s YUCK!!!
So far, no decision. As I walk around my neighborhood, I am attracted to the earthy tones- the cremey light light light chocoalte milk colors or beiges. Then I also like the taupes. I notice the trees and flower colors and greens around the homes make the colors pop.
Whatcha think? My style is old traditional rather than country.
